What about the trip!
6am - woke up up and got my stuff done...shower, teethbrush, lunch packet and go...had no time to finish my serials and the black tee:(
6:55am - the bus already started to roll when I gave a shout and lifted my arm to make a sign...I was lucky, the Aussi's are easy going all over the nation, the bus driver waited for me to lock my bike at the station:)
7: 39am - switching from bus to train by using my go card!
8:45am - arrival in Brisbane central where I began to make my day in the big town. The camera was ready same as the weather...the sky would be blue until the departure in the afternoon.
9:20am - the market place was quite empty but I found a nice old couple to take a picture of me and the medal kangaroos. They invited me to come to Cairns for fruit-picking at their passionfruit farm in december, we'll see:)
10:00am - passing the bridge to Brisbane South Bank which is the most beautiful area of the city! The Griffith University has its Campus right next to the river. The wonderful walk next to it was very impressiv and the sunday started slowly without a big crowd at the flowerway.
11:00am - Having a break and had lunch on a bridge in the east. I had good sandwiches and some fruits. Orange juice and water to drink.
11:20am - following the river I walked until the end of the 4.3 km track filled with pedestrians and bicyclists.
12:00am - Botanic Garden of Brisbane was pretty huge and I only saw a little part of it...next time I'll have another look at it!
12:30am - The feet carried me to Chinatown which is different part of Brisbane. It's colorful and a bit crowded...I thought I might find a deal with my shopping eyes, but didn't.
1pm - I took the train to get back south to the beautiful park and next to the river. I decided to read some of my literature I brought for my next assignments and took a nap next in the grass. The sun was getting hotter and I layed down in the shadow.
2pm - Walking across the flowerway to read some more in the meanwhile crowded park in South Bank. It is a wonderful spot especially for the students who's faculties are placed right next to it. There was a little market and kids playing in the water...there was even a tiny beach next to the Brisbane Surf Club...it was a place to be and I went there:D
3pm - Walking back to the central train station of Brisbane to get back home. It took me 3 hours for the train and bus but I was happy about my spontaneous idea even without a map:P
